I'm a Michigander originally..
Jang Ah Gee is a Kiwi..
Squaffy is from the UK..
Sometimes I play Euchre on Yahoo.. I always assumed it was kind of regional game - Michigan, Ontario, Indiana, etc.. but was surprised how many people play in Australia and New Zeland too..
Outside of the Michigan, Ontario, Indiana, Ohio.. I don't notice much else who play in North America..
I didn't realize it was popular in UK.. maybe so? is it Squaffy? |

Hoosiers are people from Indiana, right? Did I learn that from Vonnegut? Someone answer quick before I start my own thread on the Q & A forum concerning this pressing issue. |

Its not a game well known in the UK Tigger - we use a full deck for a similar game - I learnt it in an Indian prison (ask no questions and I will tell no lies) |

Since some asked, yes, a Hoosier is from Indiana. The origin of the word is uncertain. It's Indiana University, not the U of I. I learned the game there (having travelled north from the bluegrass), before they tossed me out (one of many fine universities to do such on my road to Korean academia). And Vonnegut is a Hoosier. His father was a well-to-do architect in Indianapolis.
I asked the question because it's pretty much the state game, and I don't recall running into non-Hoosiers who played.
I hope that puts an end to all of your pressing questions, and no new threads need be started nor animals harmed in any subsequent filming. |
