No way... run.

There is other stuff out there. That is a terrible schedule. You can kiss your weekday social life away with that, as well as your sanity.

I worked 4 to 10pm last year, and HATED it. I can't imagine teaching 8 classes for that.

There is other stuff out there now... just keep looking, and post your resume on www.englishspectrum, www.worknplay.co.kr, and some others. Apply to everything. Hit it HARD.

Good luck.

I know that 8 classes a day sounds rough, but one of the teachers I've talked to said there is little or no prep, evaluation, or "extra" workload. Basically it seems like an English conversation position with loose lesson plans. What sucks is there is only a 5 minute break between classes and a 10 minute break to eat. From what I've heard and read the school seems good with no major problems. The position is in Jeonju which I am hoping would be a good place for my first time over. I will also be the only foreign teacher at the school, is that hard to deal with? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Bob

that's okay

8 classes a day five days a week, 5-minute breaks between classes, a 10-minute dinner break, 5 days vacation? Are they bringing you over here on the Amistad? Seriously, that's gonna get tiring really fast.

Keep looking .
There's other jobs that don't require you to work such a harsh schedule.
I'm on 6 x 50 minute classes a day right now but last year for a while I was working 7 a day at some pretty impressive overtime but I decided to stop that one because in spite of the fact it was only an extra hour I was exhausted the whole time. Some people can do it, others can't. If you sign on accepting it though, there's no way they're going to cut your hours back to a more reasonable amount if you can't "hack" it.
