| What would be the best way to get an American-model PS 3 slim in Korea? My PS 3 is freezing a lot on games that require a lot of disc reading. |

| Do you only want it to be American so you can watch movies? If so, I believe that Japan has the same region code as the USA (double check on this though!) so just hop on over to Fukuoka and pick one up! |

Oh how I wish this were true... Japan is region 2 : ( according to Wiki at least.
I want to get my hands on an American PS3 slim as well.
Edit: I guess for BluRays, the region for the US and Japan is A?
So DVDs wouldn't work but BluRays would? |

Yes that's correct. BluRays from Korea, Japan, and U.S will all work on the PS3 because they are all the same region (A) but dvds on the other hand won't (Japan is 2, Korea is 3, and U.S is 1)
Unless you are going to watch lots of dvds on your system, you can get a PS3 slim from Japan if you wanted to. |
