Hello
I am new to teaching in South Korea and was wondering if someone could help me out with the national holidays. I have a list of some of the hols but would also like to know how many days (if any!) you have off work for them?
Thanks in advance! |

If a holiday falls on your regular day off, you do not get another day off in liew. This fact particulary 'sucks' this year and next as most national holidays fall on Saturdays and Sundays.

Whether you'lll get any additional days off or not depends on your school. At the public school I was at last year, they always gave us extra days off if the holiday fell on a weekend. It's HIGHLY unlikely a hagwon would do this though, so if you're at one you're likely out of luck |

I'm in my fifth year (public positions) in K-land, and you're the first person I've heard of getting another day off if a national holiday fell on a weekend! |
