We all know that KEB tends to be the most foreigner friendly bank, but this can still be hit or miss depending on where you go. After having a fairly crap experience at the Posco Sageori Branch in Samseong-dong, I finally hit some luck at the Eunma Apt Sageori Branch in Daechi-dong yesterday.
I had to go in to change some money and was directed to a young woman called Jeong Hee Jin. She speaks almost flawless English and was incredibly helpful and friendly. She spent 6 years studying in Michigan, and was such a relief to deal with. She's new at KEB, so had to ask for help on some things, but she spent an hour with me cleaning up the mess that the lady at the Posco Sageori branch had made. I told her that some KEB branches deny foreigners international check cards, and she told me that any foreigner who comes to her can get one.
I will definitely be going back to her and highly recommend her service to anyone in the area. Considering she is new there, it can hopefully only improve from here. |
