Maybe I've missed a post, but for all the threats and news about schools shutting down, anyone here teach at a school that's down? My co-teacher says if one of the kids gets it, we're closed. But hard for me to believe when I read schools just keep going. All we had was a swimming trip canceled out of fear of these Gyungido kids coming in contact with kids from Seoul.

My school had a case, but we're still up and running.

I remember someone posting like 2 or 3 weeks ago about a school shutting down, they had a ridiculous amount of kids sick. I think it was just closed for like a week or something.

I heard there is some minimum of 3 students sick at a school to close down.

I heard this as well. Why on Earth they chose 3 as the magic number is anybody's guess. Surely it should either be close down after one case, or don't close down at all. Typical half-arsed measures. Rolling Eyes

Two schools in Chuncheon have been closed down, both are re-opened now as far as I know. I've heard through the grapevine that highschools won't close even if half the population gets it because it's too close to SAT time. Lucky me.

! case at my husband's school, but they didn't shut down. My students are getting their temps checked every day. Mumps seems to be raging through my school like wildfire, but we haven't shut down.
