Don't watch it! It will only make you miserable that such a great show got canceled after only a few seasons.

i liked it, but after awhile, it seemed like they had so many "running jokes" and callbacks, that they didnt have enough time for new gags and jokes

Awesome, awesome show (my favorite character was Tobias, especially when he was trying to join that Blue Man group). The last I heard, they were set to make a film version. So hopefully, we've got that to look forward to.

Great show. EZTV reviewed upcoming shows premiering this fall and said the following about a new show called, "modern family":

Quote:
SHOW: Modern Family
PREMIERE: Wednesday, September 23, 9:00 p.m., ABC

THE SKINNY: Modern Family is the next best thing to Arrested Development being brought back from the dead. Packed tightly with smart jokes and timely physical humor, the sitcom follows three dysfunctional families -- a traditional husband, wife, and kids setup, an older man and his younger Latina lover, and a homosexual couple with a newly adopted Vietnamese baby -- in mockumentary style. Phil, played by Back to You's Ty Burrell, is part AD's Gob and Tobias, and is destined to become a fan-favorite. How much do we like this show? I've rewatched the pilot episode five times.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'll be sure to give it a try.

In real life, the comedian who plays Tobias is a bit of a madman, apparently. I met a guy who claimed to have snorted, in a phone booth--with another person in the phone booth, too--several fat lines of something or other off Tobias' bald head.
Perhaps false, but utterly believable.
Or maybe it was Buster...hmmm. Can't remember.

I once spotted David Cross (Tobias) walking his dog in the East Village in NYC. Thinking that he was a long lost friend (as I weirdly do with random celebrities), I yelled "Hi, how's it been?!" He kept walking. Then I realized he wasn't a long lost friend.

Also-- he's hilarious as hell in his standup.
