actually, most people dont talk. it just happens that a stream of words comes out from their mouth as soon as they open it.

as an esl teacher, i have to do 70-80% of the talk in class. if wished students would talk more, but it seems there is something of a cultural expectation that i do the talk, and the better i stick to it, the more students like me.

Keep trying, you'll get it one day.

They don't know how to use telepathy, so they must resort to those crude noises we call speech.

There's a Korean saying...I'm paraphrasing bc I can't remember it exactly.

If you tap a metal rice bowl that's empty, it clangs loudly. However one filled with rice hardly makes a sound.

So, people without a brain talk the loudest. Those who are intelligent don't feel the need to be heard all the time.

I find that some people rarely seize a fine opportunity to shut up.

Anyone who talks to much sounds stupid.

I met a few guys from ivy league that could ramble on for days. Unfortunately they had no concept of "tailoring it to your audience" so they kept talking about obscure and irrelevant topics that you shouldn't and wouldn't mention on a first time meeting.

I'm not really interested in the finer points of why the weight threshold of a perpendicular beam to a trust is correlated by the amount of tensile strength it has...

I wanted to jump off a cliff.

You don't like physics?

Don't you mean engineering stupid Smile He was talking materials/statics. Any 2nd year engineering n00b would know that.

I studied physics. It all boils down to physics in the end. Very Happy

Uh...no it doesn't. Are you saying a B.sci in physics os the same as a B.eng? lol

I didn't say that, but an engineering major who didn't know any physics, wouldn't exactly be a spectacular engineer...

If you tap a stpid girl's ass or a smart girl's ass - which makes the most sound?

If Beercanman drops a beercan in his kitchen, does a drunk fall over in East Grinstead?
