Have you offered to go anywhere in Korea? Or have you applied for only the Club Med jobs?

generally its harder. Koreans don't like to hire older people. The one time my old company hired a lady in her 40s it took a lot of convincing on her part, the fact that she looked young for her age, and we didn't really have anybody else who wanted to take the job.

Sadly enough, there is age discrimination. Is that really any different than where you are from though? I'm not trying to be snide, but realistic. I hope that you can find a good job here.

Done done and overdone.

Quick answer: Yes there is. Search and you will find. Bottom line is that old people are stubborn and young people are more adaptable. Not discrimination just fact. I feel my stubborn sinking in every day, it sucks.

57 and looking for a job in Korea? Don't bother. At that age if you don't have any money you never will.

Also, I hope your email addy is not as racist sounding as your Dave's moniker.

Shave your beard, get as spruced up as you can. Wear a nice suit (white shirt, tie, etc). Get professional photos taken. Then apply for the job and don't submit your age or anything (they could probably figure it out if they read your resume in detail, but I doubt they would). Also, get all E2 documents ready and make sure to mention they are all ready when you submit resume and your photo to recruiters.

If you look good they will hire you.

I've got a co-worker who is 57 at my university, just got hired 6 months ago. It ain't over till the fat lady sings. Depends on who's doing the hiring, but don't give up.
