We payed something like 5 to 7 million out the door with photos, video, and everything included? Can't remember. We got a discount because it was January (not a busy time). We did not do the traditional thing with traditional clothes, as that was another million. Food was included for guests up to a certain number we didn't reach.

We married here:

Nice place in a nice area of town. It's well-known by Koreans due to its location along the main drag in the Kangnam area.

That seems really reasonable. Smile

Yup, it was very nice. Two photo sittings included (one before the wedding at a special "house" for taking photos in various settings, and also day-of). They gave us two large albums, and two small ones for families. The only problem was that in true Korean fashion, they over-photoshopped everything! Our faces looked featureless like glass. We complained and they reluctantly re-did them. Video was really nice and professionally done. Food was for up to 100 guests, I think. We would have had to pay more for anything above that. You pay for 100 plates regardless. I was tempted to invite people in off of the street for the extra spots, but nobody would have understood, and the wedding hall probably would have freaked. You get to choose from different meal options, and try the food in advance.

The day-of, there was a make-up artist that absolutely ROCKED. I tried to film the woman doing the make-up, but there was so much mixing/matching, it was fruitless to attempt to copy it. She spent a good 45 mins on my wife's face, not including another several minutes to weave-in hair. My wife looked like a moviestar when it was all said and done -- no joke.

Oh, and that included all clothing rental, flowers, etc. Had to provide my own shoes. They actually had a tux that fit me, and I'm 188cm tall. If memory serves, they had 2. My wife was able to choose from about 8 different dresses, and was allowed to wear 2 different dresses for photos and wedding day.

We got married at an average wedding hall, not the best in town and not the worst.

Total payment to the wedding hall was 1,600,000. That included wedding hall, wedding dress, tux, photos, photo album, video.

We got married a little off season, in February, so the price was a little cheaper.

The food was 20,000 a plate. We had a hundred guests.

The money from the guests paid for everything, if I recall.

So, the wedding pretty much paid for itself.
