I bought a new Xbox a month ago from Yongsan. I got it modded and it plays games fine.
The problem I have is with Xbox live. When I try to connect to it requires me to download an update which it fails to do. Is this a problem specific to Korea? Is it because its Modded? Can I download the update somewhere else?
any help appreciated! |

| Uh, try to get on Xbox live with a modded xbox. That's like giving Microsoft $300 more, because it will go BAM and you will have to buy a new xbox... |

| Wrong. You won't have to buy a new xbox, but if Xbox live does DETECT that you have a modded system they will ban your box, meaning you can kiss playing on Xbox live but you will STILL be fine playing off-line. |

| seems like you get banned by microsoft after a while. Still cant download the update, maybe the mod has been detected. Thanks for the replys |

It seems better to jsut by 2 xboxes. One for xbox live play, and the other just for downloaded games.
Its not like the good ol days of the 1st Xbox where you had an external switch to turn off the modchip. |
