So I saw on this link that there's some "interesting" cafes in Seoul

So, where are these cafes? (Tried to google but it's hard to find specific ones) Any other "weird interesting" cafes?

I've been to a Dr Fish Cafe already, and I've just heard about the Dog Cafe.


Also, where is a good place to chill out with a good book or so for a few hours?

Yeah, this is what makes Asia so unique! I'd love to know about this as well.

These are some I found in my guide book- haven't been around to check any of them yet.

On the 3rd floor of Memory In there is a cafe and on the 4th floor there is a bar and studio. All floors feel elegant and cozy. The sweet-looking wallpaper that makes you feel like you can smell actual flowers will brighten your heart. On the 4th floor there are lots of wedding dresses of various colors and designs. You can rent a dress for only 3,000 won. Once dressed, a photo shoot begins. You can pick whatever background you want with a ruler on the screen. And for those who buy a drink, special lighting is provided for free during the photo shoot. Making a reservation is essential if you want professional pictures taken.

Princess Diary is a 'dress cafe' where, if you pay around 6,000 won for a cup of tea and pay a dress rental fee (5,000 ~ 20,000 won), you can have your picture taken on luxurious sofas, or on a swing decorated with beautiful flowers in the background. the 2nd floor has a dress room and accessories, so gaining that princess-like appearance for the camera is a breeze. They have various kinds of outfits such as Chinese dresses, kimonos, and even the modernized hanbok which was introduced in the drama Gung (palace). I just love the 1st one! I might just check it out someday, if I can find a friend to join me I also saw that there are some very special cafes in Hongik where you can just sit back, relax and enjoy a drink in some sort of magical surrounding.. (my guide book esp. recommends Butterfly Cafe ((02)338-4879) and ATAY ((02)336-7760))

Yeah the Bau House cafe is pretty cool. There's also a Cat cafe called GioCat in Hongdae.

There's a cat cafe in Daegu with some desert foxes.

I went to a monkey cafe in Vietnam - it's not that great. Turn around and a monkey has stolen your ice cream.

I went to one in hongdae one night.. they had bunk beds you could lay down and read a book.. I have no idea where it is though..

omg, that's totally awesome. I love the idea of a dog cafe.

I know of a board game cafe that's pretty good in Gangnam. they have a variety of different games, from simple to complex. It's really close to teh subway stop too.

What else is there for odd cafes? I'm into this idea.

Just spend a day walking around the alleys in HongDae. They have managed to turn every possible inane reason to socially gather into an excuse for a cafe here. Most of this is the result of too many places opening up in too short a time in too confined an area. The cafe district now runs all the way down to SangSu station and even up to HapJeong Station. Yeesh.

Anyone got a line on these in Busan? I've seen a Dr. Fish here, and some odd spots like the Batman bar, but other than that, I've found bubcus.
