| Diego Maradona. |
Why?
I'm English but I still love Diego so much. Apart from the hand of god thing he was the greatest player ever to play the beautiful game. |
Agreed......despite being a cheating little $hit in the 86 World Cup he was without doubt the greatest footballer ever........closely followed by Garrincha (no, not Pele!)
I am happy he is fking over his national team at the minute though ......keep it up Diego |

| It's a tossup between the Bills and the Sabres. I don't have anything against the city of Buffalo itself (it has provided me with many a chicken wing at the Anchor Bar over the years), but for some reason I can't stand their pro teams. Bills moreso than the Sabres, although when I went to watch the Sabres play, I didn't care who their opponents were as long as the Sabres lost. |

Okay, I'll bite...
Mostly my Maradona-rage is an irrational response that stems from the fact that at his core he is a cheater. His playing ability does not allow me to overlook this. Neither does his comedic follies as a former player and football manager. I cannot look past his greatest achievement, winning the world cup, resulting from his most infamous act. Add to that the later be-smirching of the world cup through his performance enhanced comeback in 1994, where he was one of very few (cannot think of another) players to have been thrown out of the competition. Therefore I nominate Maradona as sports villain #1.
This in myself is a result of bad sportsmanship (I am sometimes a sore loser).
Players I think were better than Maradona (off the top of my head): Beckenbauer, Cryuff, Zidane, George Best... |

| I forgot to mention Shaq. I can't stand that egotistical lump. He's really become an attention *beep* the past few years, too. If the NBA still called traveling and offensive fouls, he'd have more turnovers a game than points. |

| The problem with Shaq is that NBA refs can't do anything about him. Everytime he put the ball on the floor he charged because of his immense size. Other players couldn't do anything but foul him. If the guy could actually shoot the ball from more than 5 feet from the rim (foul shots included) nobody would have been able to do anything. |

Detroit Red Wings.
My Anaheim Ducks and the Wings have clashed a few times in the playoffs and it's really annoying us (even though the win-loss ratio for the playoff rounds is quite even). |
You come from Richmond and you are a Ducks fan? You should be ashamed of yourself son. |
It's better than cheering for the mediocre team from my hometown that says "this is our year" every year only to fall splat on their faces all the time (even when they're heavily favored, both by others and on paper). It's embarrassing to watch, really. And that's saying a lot, coming from someone whose team was named after a Disney movie (one that I have never seen, surprisingly).
And don't even get me started on their owner... He sees the team as a cash cow and nothing more. He doesn't care about the team.
I stated Detroit... but personally, I also have a mission against my hometown Canucks because, well, they're the hometown team and I always like to show my Vancouver-area friends which team's boss. (Not so much anymore now that we beat the Canucks to a Cup, over 30 years earlier than them... The battle has clearly been won.) |

I hate (or strongly dislike) the NY Yankees and Alex Rodriguez.
I'd have to say that I strongly dispise Man U too even though they have a couple of my favorite players .... Rooney and Scholes. |

'Detroit 4 cups in 11 years Red Wings' fans yawn at the Stonerlanders vs. Disneylanders feud. |

| Queensland state of origin team. Biggest bunch of up 'emselves wankers in the history of the world. Seeing Steve Price get KTFO-ed in the last game (and the QLD-ers reacting like a pack of delinquent teenagers) was so brilliant it was almost worth losing the series for. |

All-hockey dislike list:
Toronto Maple Leaghs, absolutely. The thing is, TSN has made the Leafs into "Canada's Team" without consulting people who don't live in Ontario... The Ballard Years...
Darius Kasparitis - that guy was a real jerk. He would take out an opposing player's knee without thinking twice.
Claude Lemieux - even as a Habs fan, that guy was another jerk on the ice.
Darcy Tucker - just shut up, dude.
Baseball - Milton Bradley - what a tool... |
