Korean legislators voting for less work and more play... As Sir Humphrey Appleby once said: "That will be a courageous decision, Minister."

My co-teacher mentioned this bill to me on Friday... and said we may get more than a three-day weekend this Chuseok. I took it upon myself to teach her the meaning of the English expression - "I'm not holding my breath." Wink

One can only hope...

You guys are lucky. I only have Friday off. I bet you're at schools that don't make you come in over the breaks. Mine makes me come in and sit there for 8 hours. Interminable!

I get Thurs-Mon off. I'm pretty pleased about that, but I just have a feeling my school is going to be all about the desk warming in winter and summer. Ah I guess we'll see.

Thursday-Monday. Every school has a different policy regarding deskwarming. Complaining about it just ruins it for everyone.

Well I'm taking this Thursday off. I don't understand why the gov would do this when they axed other holidays a few years ago.

I normally have Mon or Fri off (different from Term to term)...I once had Mon off and the students cancelled class on Fri, giving me a 10 day Chuseok...so I can't really complain. I have Fri off this trerm, so I lose out this time around...whatever.
