Saw a flyer for Rio Grill in Songtan, looks pretty good. All you can eat Brazilian food. Steak, salad bar, grilled meat and all that. Has anyone tried it? I might go there this weekend. Hope it's good then I won't have to go to Seoul whenever I want Brazilian barbeque. |

anyone eaten there yet? Is it worth a trip to that dirty little hole where the locals have an air of "I hate all white faced people since I think they are all army dudes from the base"? |

LOVE IT!!!! LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!!
The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was nice and the service was exceptional. The place is owned and run by Brazilians, so it's super authentic.
If you're walking on the main street towards the base gate, take a left at the alley after mcdonalds, and a right at the green and yellow overhang. It's on the right hand side, at the end of that alley, across from the New Seoul Hotel.
And for the previous poster: I like Songtan, most 'white faced people' are from the base, and I find the locals to be open minded, probably due to all those 'army dudes'. |

I ate lunch at Rio Grill today and it was absolutely fantastic! They have a great variety of different kinds of steak, all cooked perfectly and I love that they have ribs too! They have a real western style salad bar with good ranch and italian dressing. The other stuff on the buffet is very good and goes well with the meat.
Ive tried most of the other Brazilian restaurants in Seoul and this beats them all. Especially good for anyone living in the area south of Seoul. Lunch was 18k, beat every other buffet restaurant Ive tried and any other western style restaurant in Korea.
Verdict - GO THERE! you will not regret it~ |

Not sure abt the website. It's 18k for lunch and 24k for dinner, but they are having a 10% discount these days. As for drinks, I'd say they are average price for restaurants. Yes, there is green bottled potion. Oh and the "caipirinha" yummy lemon brazilian cocktail. That was great. And the flambado banana dessert they make. That's fun to watch. |

I just went there yesterday. Excellent decision! All you can eat meat was great, and they also have a little salad bar which was nice. Had the kiperenya drink, quite strong (of course, I'm a nancy when it comes to drinking ) I'll be going there again, definitely, worth the trip. |

Yes, I would recommend it. A bit expensive since I was full after one round of meats, but it was delicious and a change from my usual Mexican and Thai food. |

Checked it out today and definitely great. They do have an informative website:
http://www.riogrill.webs.com/
Also, charged lunch price for lunch on weekends, unlike many places that charge dinner price for any holiday or weekend.
Salad bar was great. Small, but for Korea, great. There was a black bean dish with various meats in it, plus another meat dish on the salad bar to eat by itself or with rice, plus potato salad, salad, salsa, etc. Other posters already commented on the meat. Well worth the trip and money. |

No eye candy for the gents. But there's an ajumma watching from the new Seoul Hotel across the street that will probably see you as eye candy. Shw was-a-watching all the goings on. |
