Anyone have any experience with this?

I've tried three different Linux distros (Eeebuntu, Linux Mint, Slax) with my Korean netbook, and have failed to get the webcam and touchpad working in all three cases because the kernel doesn't recognize the hardware.

I've given up on Linux and I'm looking to pared down (illegal) versions of windows compatible with my driver CD.

I use XP pro Performance Edition on my ancient school PC. I don't know what has been taken out but it is much smaller and lighter than the original.

Hmmm, looks good, thanks for that. I've read that some versions of Black come loaded with malware and trojans. This looks like it might be more reliable.

Hmm, the first google result: "This should be renamed "XP PRO - THE BACKDOOR EDITION""

Apparently your entire hard drive is automatically shared and locked that way, at least according to some random commenter on ThePirateBay. I guess you can turn it off if you know a bit about editing the registry. I'd check for that if I were you.

I've got black up and running and it works mostly great. Unfortunately when they trimmed the fat they also trimmed all the East Asian Language support, so I had to download an iso of the full version to install Korean language and IME on my system. Boots up in about 20 seconds on a N280 1.66GHz, 2gigs RAM.

After trying out three different Linux builds I forgot how agonizing a Windows install can be. It took nearly 2 hours to format the drive. No linux build took longer than 20 minutes to install completely.

To be honest, I'm just about done with XP altogether. At home I use Windows 7 on both my desktop and my Macbook (via Bootcamp). I really like it so far. The Homegroup feature is useful for people who don't know to configure networks. I'm not sure how well it would run an older machine though, but there is a netbook edition designed for low-end specs.
