I'm paid on the 24th of every month.

I was paid a full month's salary for September (even though it was only the 24th). I also got 500,000 won for the week I worked in august.

I tried to point it out to no avail.

I guess I won't complain anymore.

I'm not sure if this is the standard but I was also paid "extra" the first month I worked at my public school. This "extra" amount wasn't really extra. Although I get paid on the 25th, that paycheck is supposed to count for the entire month. So my first paycheck was for the entire month of September plus a week or so in August. When I leave, my last paycheck will be for ~3 weeks.

Same here.

I went through the contract trying to figure out why I got paid extra, but even when you factor in the settlement allowance and the flight reimbursement, i'm just about 500,000 won over.

signed. i pointed it out too and they said it was for the month of september plus the one week in august we were here for orientation. i also finally got my 1.3 for the flight reimbursement so life it good. Laughing

No mystery. Public schools pay us on the 25th for the full month.
