"Are you human?"
"Yes"
"Are you going to annoy me with lots of questions about Korea?"
"No"
"Have you got your documents?"
"Yes"
"When can you start?"
Seriously though, the interview I had was pretty much summed up by that. My recruiter pretty much had the Director filled in, and basically told me just seem normal and don't ask too many questions. |

Yes, a Korean "interview" means you are already hired and they want to know if you have any questions, 99.9% of the time.
My first interview was actually an interview, by a woman who was from Canada and had been working at the hagwon I applied to for two years and practically ran the place. |

I guess I ask because although I am going through EPIK my recruiter is WorkNPlay and on the WorkNPlay website I see they have a section where they give you interview tips and the questions seem really tricky, not tricky as in I cant answer them, tricky as in difficult to think of a perfect streamline answer off the top of your head. Kind of like what American colleges prepare you for in job interviews. Those kind of question. |

My entire interview.
'You have all your documents?'
Yes
'Is countryside okay?'
Yes, that's what I want
'Start next friday.'
Sure.
Bingo. |

Where did you end up? I want to live in Gangwon-do because I want the 300,000 rural bonus. Is that monthly or yearly? Also is that in all of gangwon-do where you get the rural bonus with EPIK or just the Rural parts of the provice, like what if I lived in Samcheok or Dongae, or even Chuncheon for that matter. |

I'm in Ceungcheonamdo. Never heard of a 300,000 rural alowwance, it's 100,000 a month.
I also got a 300,000 relocation allowance as well as a 500,000 bonus, but they don't pay visda run and I was to late to trasnsfer my visa, so that bonus doesn't reallly count. But I guess it would've counted if I had've been in time to transfer my visa... I still think they should've paid visa run though, GEPIK do.... But I guess the 500,000 bonus is same thing... |

The rural bonus is 100,000 a month.
You are thinking of the settlement allowance which is a one time thing. |

I'm about to head to Gangwon-do. You may be interviewed by a lady called Francesca. She's very nice, and won't try to catch out with her questions. But like I say, try not to ask her too much..
If you need any more help with the application process, PM me, I've just be through it all ! |

TBH I don't really have anything to ask. I've asked you guys all of the questions I have, and have done a crap ton of research. Any other questions will be related to the individual province/school, which I won't know until I'm offered a contract, so...
Is it bad if I don't really have anything to ask?? |

I don't know. They say the question itself is more important than the answer.
But what do 'they' know anyway? |
