However, the Asian curse comes into play, so I think the sex fest might not be that great. I think it would be fun to pretend to be in love for a few weeks, run around Seoul holding hands so all the little girls can cry when they see him with a whitey, go to coffee shops and take pictures of ourselves pouting, then have a tumultuous break-up and have him write a song about me. That would be cool.

Can you imagine if I went into my old elementary school and told the kiddies G-Dragon was my boyfriend? Shit.

EDIT: I can't believe I was going to admit something so embarrassing. Erased.

you're a pretty neurotic person, aren't you?

Well, my punctuation is quite overwhelming in this post.

Is there anyone besides me who thinks that calling someone "gay" because of the way they dress is kind of ridiculous?

No?

Okay.

Carry on then.

What is this Asian curse you speak of?

Does anyone know if the k-pop singer G-Dragon is gay? I'm just curious. He looks really effeminate especially in "Heartbreaker", and also I heard he like women's clothing, so it got me thinking. I did a google search but couldn't find a definitive answer, so I thought I'd ask all of you.

I really want to ask this question without it sounding snarky, but I doubt that is possible. Anyway, if you were ever to get a 100% definitive answer to your question, what would you do with the information? Why a google search? Seems a little obsessive.

Your 29 years old? Your a caucasion female? I honestly thought you logged on your older siblings account to announce on multiple threads, your overwhelming desire to have your threesome.

Mollymollymolly....you're so cute! With your punctuation and honesty.

Anyway...I'm ...sssstarting to get the appeal of these Korean dudes. But I'm not quite there yet. I still find the whole "androgynous" thing too weird. I really like big, buff, masculine guys, with the occasional tortured poet thrown in.

About G-Dragon, I might say that his appeal is found in his confidence. Maybe this is the answer? How many straight dudes would carry off this Look with such confidence? With no fear of how their sexuality will be judged (by their Korean audience, anyway...which is what they are concerned with, not us)?

Also, I would say he's NOT gay. If he were gay, he'd be trying to hide it a leeeettle more than that.

Korea is not ready for an OUT rock star. G-Dragon's just taking this new style to the next level.

*shudder* what's next....?

but even the big haired, uber skinny somewhat effeminate rock glammers in very very tight pants, didn't cross the lines of sexual ambiguity or gayness (at least in Western cultural terms) like these guys do.

Leaving aside different cultural norms of masculinity, are you sure about this? David Bowie? Roxy Music? Iggy Pop? Freddy Mercury? Michael Jackson? Boy George? Frankie Goes to Hollywood? I could do this all day.

I don't think he's gay but he looks - going by my purely subjective reaction to the expression on his face - pretty full of himself.

Cool & thanks. I thought there was some big scandal with GD and Min Sun Ye, or maybe the fans just want them to get together? There's tons of G-YE fandom sites. I just think it's funny how they call the two groups "WonderBang."

Dressing like a woman seems strictly a hetero thing here...since Korea is mainly a repressive society, the gay dudes here probably hide in plain sight by being exaggerated butch stereotypes...like American actors before the 50's. Besides, I thought gay dudes were supposed to have better taste in clothing than that?

Sexuality is a whole different ball game here. Probable cause is the jjimjilbangs. You grow up seeing naked people. It's no big deal. I just got back from a jjimjilbang a couple of hours ago. The dad had brought his two kids, a boy and a girl with him. The boy was probably 8 and the girl 6, but it seemed perfectly natural and normal. This is the way to bring up kids--to not be afraid of nakedness. It's a really good way to grow up. The gay repression thing has more to do with a traditional society having to grow up way, way too fast.

And seriously, G-Dragon as a sex symbol, cause of a million fluttering hearts? The guy looks like a little boy. That sounds like more of a fetish than an actual attraction. Get real.

Not afraid of nakedness? How come everyone wears clothes at the beach, even in the water? Is it JUST a skin care thing?

A place and a time for everything, I'd say.
