|
|
I have two signed contracts with different dates. One that I signed with Gyeongsangnam-do with an expiration date of Nov. 3rd, and the other with the school I teach at with an expiration date of Nov. 8th. Which one takes precedence?
I am asking this because I would like to leave on the 3rd, but the school says I can not receive severance pay if I leave before Nov. 8th. Yes I started teaching on the 8th, however.
My gut feeling tells me that the 2nd contract probably cancels out the first one, but I just want to make sure?
I will have to do a run to immigration office as well.
Which one sticks: the signed contract with Gyeongsangnam-do, or the one with the school? |

None of the above.
Contracts aren't worth the paper they're written on in Korea. |

| Your contract should expire one year after you begin teaching, not the date that you actually sign a contract. If you begin Nov 8th 2009, Nov. 7th 1020 is 365 days. |
