When I think of teaching at a university I have visions of freshmen and sophomores with decent English abilities. I know this is false.

Some of the university job postings I've read talk about teaching adults and children. It seems that the university offers a wide range of classes.

Is it possible to stipulate in a university contract that you will only teach college students? Anyone with any success doing this?

There are university positions, teaching university students in a department, and then there are university institute positions, teaching university students, children, housewives, whoever comes in the door with cash.

I would avoid the latter.
