Hey,
Granted I have now left Korea though I now have a Korean wii, chipped in yongsan (don't know what kind of chip they used).

I'm thinking of getting it connected to the internet to play fifa 10 etc.

Is this possible? Could I end up with a bricked wii?

It's Korea region, I'm plying it in U.K mainly using pal games.

Any suggestions? Opinions? Experiences?

Thanks

I've played Mario Kart online without issue. I've got a softmod though. You'd only run into trouble if you had to update your firmware as part of getting online. I'd suggest trying, and if it asks to update saying no and doing some more research.

apparently version 4.2 update bricks all chipped wiis.

I'm wanting to connect my wii to the internet for the 1st time.

Is there always an option of saying no to an update?

4.2k doesn't brick the wii, just gets rid of homebrew channel.
and wipes out other channels. In Yongsan I was told that guys are working on another firmare downgrader for it.

also, if you have a older version firmware, it's kind of easy to downgrade and then change to a US or Eur firmware. check out gbatemp.net
