I predicted this during the election: the left would turn against B. Obama within a year after his inauguration.
I have already heard him denounced as a sellout and the imperialists' frontman on campus. Soon "fascist" -- and not from the right wing, mind you -- will reverberate and echo in the discourse. After all, is he not expanding the war in Pakistan and considering a surge in Afghanistan? What is Guant�namo's status? How about his handling the economic crisis? He had a chance to bring capitalists and their bankers to their knees and he failed to do it, just like FDR in the 1930s...The list goes on. |
