I am in need of some really nice, formal looking court shoes... but also unusual in design - MUST BE COMFORTABLE, though, cos I will be doing a lot of running/standing around for a couple of days.

Any suggestion where to get some?

What is/are your favourite brand(s)?

Court as in court of law? Rockport, Ecco, Cole Haan all make comfy and decent looking pumps or wedges, etc.

Oohh.. I just realised *court shoes* is a British expression. Yeah, Wiki says it's *pumps* in American English....

Cole Haan Nike Air pumps. Allegedly, they're as comfy as pumps get (according to female friends).

I'm confused, which is to say I am american. Do you mean runners/sneakers that can be worn in the office but also for exercise? By pumps, do you mean air in the heel? I might have a few ideas if you clarify.

Court shoes... high heels... pumps... no sneakers.

I need to wear them over a suit and an evening gown.

Google's your friend: http://images.google.co.kr/images?complete=1&hl=ko&q=court%20shoes&lr=&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi

It seems like you are looking for an professional/comfortable crossbreed with a touch of elegance or personality.

Would you like something in all black?

How much are you looking to spend?

Most importantly what would you like to use these shoes for? Are they for a formal dinner? court? Maybe work shoes?

Finally you're asking some intelligent questions!

I'd like something black but with a twist to it.

I need to be able to wear them from morning to night.

Spend? Doesn't really matter 100? 200? If they are nice I WILL PAY!

If you want nice shoes go to Ferragamo www.salvatoreferragamo.it they have stores in many places in Seoul. If that is too exp go to Steve Madden www.stevemadden.com if you can't find anything u like there go to Nine West. Easy.

I'd rather get Blahnik than Ferragamo. But no, I am not looking to spend 5/600 bucks on shoes right now.

I like Nine West but their shoes are very uncomfortable. Bought several pairs from Hong Kong. Excellent designs.

I have a great pair of Louboutins for sale..! They don't really tick the comfort box though Smile

I have the same problem with shoes here - places I can recommend:

Marks and Spencer in Apkujong
Gangnam Subway station
Zara

I'll include gmarket as well - I haven't bought any yet but I was looking yesterday and found some decent looking shoes (incredibly cheap though so no idea what they'd be like).

Reasonably priced, and , in my opinion, comfortable: Clarks. They run the range from rather clunky to a basic kind of stylish. If your a Blahniks kind of woman, they may not be to your taste. Most may not go with an evening gown, but a suit, jeans, or a nice dress, sure. For summer, the sandals are, in my opinion, the best mix of everything, with comfort first. They last well for the price.

I order online. I cannot find shoes in this country to save my life, as I don't wear heels or gold ballet flats with bling and flowers.

BTW, even the Google image you linked wasn't clear-it showed runners and high heeled shoes.
