Is there any website showing pollen count? Today must be really bad. I woke up with an allergic cough that just wouldn't stop. Cough drops actually made me worse. |

I did a Daum search for 꽃가루 (pollen) 예보 (forecast) and this is the first site that popped up:
http://www.pollen.or.kr/
Allergies suck. Good luck. |

Great catch on the pollen site. I'm stashing that link on the front page of my website: http://UlsanOnline.com
We have another link that may interest you, too - the dust counter. It's usually bad in the spring with the mongolian yellow dust, but it does occur at other times as well. It's worth taking a peek at when you're feeling the effects of some crap or other up your nose.

Bass, I'm completely with you...had a very mild cold for the past 4 weeks that I couldn't shake. Went to an ENT to get checked out and he said it was probably allergies I've developed while in Korea and the pollen/air quality/change in weather.... Sucks, can't shake it, got some good meds - but when those run out, it's back to hacking and sneezing every couple of hours. It's like having a cold without the constant runny nose and very little congestion. |

I've had allergies all the past week as well. I think it's partly pollen and partly dust from breaking out my coats and sweaters that have been sitting in the closet all summer. I do know that I'm deathly allergic to dust mites. That might be part of your problem too. |

Well, whatever hit me last night kept me up for a solid hour of hacking so hard that I almost puked. Nothing in my lungs at all. My voice is shot from all of this, and it doesn't help my teaching!
Our new apartment is in a semi-woodsy area, and that's had a huge effect on my allergies this year. We used to live in concrete wonderland, which was ugly, but didn't bother my allergies. I've been trying some meds from the doctor, but they knock me out all day. I went back to some Allertec (Zyrtec) knock-off that worked pretty well today. I had previously used that just for runny nose, but it seems to do well on my post-nasal drip problems as well. AND it's cheap with no prescription needed.... try some of it, Forward, O. It's at any pharmacy.
I break the pills in half, though, because they're strong and will make me very sleepy if I have a full one.
Thanks for the links! |
