I recently looked at an application form for teaching in Korea and it asked for any "criminal offenses" including traffic violations to be listed on the form. I haven't gotten my cbc back so I have no idea if the traffic tickets I have from several years ago will be on it or not. I don't see how a speeding ticket from five years ago could possibly be relevant in my teaching application or how anyone could possibly know I had even gotten one if it doesn't show up. It's not like having a DUI on my record. Has anyone actually reported traffic tickets or been denied a teaching position or a visa for having a ticket for speeding or running a stop sign?

There's really no dilemma here.

I don't know in what country you live, or to what jurisdiction you have applied for your criminal record check. I do know that in most, a traffic violation will not show on a CRC. If you are worried about lying because of semantics, simply wait until you receive your 'clean' CRC and write 'None'.
