I have not watched it yet but I have heard a lot about it, I think 'Inglourious Basterds' is going to be a good one. However, not too sure about the subtitles. Hopefully the Korean will not block the English.

Here are the new movies this week:

Inglourious Basterds => Language: German/English/French/Italian (바스터즈 : 거친 녀석들)
Quote:
In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers... IMDB

The Time Traveler's Wife => Language: English (시간여행자의 아내)
Quote:
A romantic drama about a Chicago librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage... IMDB

This Is It => Language: English (마이클 잭슨의 디스 이즈 잇)
Quote:
A compilation of interviews, rehearsals and backstage footage of Michael Jackson as he prepared for his series of sold-out shows in London... IMDB

---------Korean Movies----------
Paju => Language: Korean (파주)
Quote:
15-year-old Eun-mo Choi falls in love with her older sisters boyfriend who is 7 years her senior. A few years later, he marries her sister and Eun-mos crush turns into hatred. One day, her sister dies in an accident and Eun-mo starts to live with her brother-in-law. But she wonders how her brother-in-law is related to the death of her sister. - Asian Media Wiki

Sky and Sea => Language: Korean (하늘과 바다)
Quote:
Ha-neul (played by Na-ra Jang) is a gifted violonist who stays at home mostly. Bada (played by Jyu-ni Hyeon) was abandoned by her parents. Jin-kyu (played by Ah-in Yu) lost his parents at an early age and now delivers pizza. Through music, friendship, and love these three friends will learn lessons on life. - Asian Media Wiki

Can anyone confirm that there are English subtitles in other theaters???

Specifically, I want to hit that theater in Sinchon, next to On The Border and the batting cages...

No English subtitles at Cinus in Bundang, but if you can read Korean it's not much of a problem.

Fantastic film, by the way.

Saw it at CGV Jukjeon last night, and "Inglourious Basterds" was subtitled in English with Korean on the side.

There were a few German lines that were not subtitled in the original English version, but did have Korean subtitles, which was interesting. However, the scenes were still straightforward and easy-to-follow: a scene in a Parisian cafe where a bunch of excited Germans tell Daniel Bruehl's character how famous he is, oh my god how marvelous to meet you etc., and he gives the same "well, it is an honor to meet you too" canned answer to all of them.
Also, there was a single unsubtitled line later which translates to, "Don't be stupid. Think of Max."

At my location, does this indicate English subtitles or just the fact that these languages are spoken within the film itself? I think it's the latter. Confused

Garden Five CGV (Songpa - Jangji subway exit) has no English subtitles.

Papa Smurf, at which CGV location was it subtitled in English?

People are wondering whether or not the foreign language (French, German, etc.) parts of the film are subbed in English. I think the English parts of the movie are English everywhere.

It seemed like 50% was not in English.

I saw it at Cinus in Nampo-dong. Subtitles for everything but the German in the cafe, the French part was subbed though.
