Off to get some documents Apostille and just read that they want a notary public to sign off on it before i get it Apostille. Cant I use a solicitor instead as I have many friends in the law industry or will it affect my chances of a visa?
I have searched the forum but couldn't find a clear answer so sorry in advance if I am being dense.

You can use a solicitor if they are a notary public (not all solicitors are notary publics). I'm assuming you're in the UK, OP, what part?
