Greetings!
I want to know if, once I've received a Certificate of Visa Confirmation form from the Korean Immigration office("the Blue form"--form 120), should I expect no problem in getting the visa stamp in my passport from my local consulate?
Thanks! |

I don't think you should have a problem. As far as I understand, the purpose of the certificate is for immigration to confirm to the consulate that they've already checked you out (qualifications, employment history in Korea [if any], employer sponsorship) and have given you the green light. So unless there's some particular reason why you think immigration should bar your entry, I wouldn't worry if you already have the certificate. |

Once you have the Blue paper, the visa issuance is a formality. The checks are done prior to the issuance of the Blue paper. |

to J.B. Clamence--Thanx. I had a minor prob with Korean immigration 2 or so yrs. ago, and they said that I couldn't get an E-2 visa for 6 months. (But I have heard stories that Immigration can be so conflicting that what one officer says another might say the opposite.) So, if I got my Visa Confirmation, then I'm assuming what that officer said was indeed true. Yeah, I'm supposed to leave in a week, and maybe I'm being a little 'noid. |
