My reference to Ron Paul was merely a light-hearted jab, so chill out. But you are right, I don't know the first thing about Keynesian or Austrian economic plans. I do know that a)Obama inherited this economy, and b)the economy is not the only issue to consider when electing a president. Maybe Obama should appoint Paul as an advisor.

Don't apologize for liking Ron Paul! He was the most honest, most forthright, and most ignored candidate in early 2008. I saw only one substantive reference to him in a national column, where Krugman or someone said he "apparently wanted all financial transactions to be conducted in pieces of eight." The crash followed, and wouldn't hard money look good now? He was also the only candidate in either party to commit to leaving Iraq - wouldn't THAT look good now?

I hope he, or another libertarian, becomes more prominent in time for 2012. With enthusiasm for BOTH parties fading (!), they have a rare chance, if not to win soon to get on the map as a strong third party.

I've said it before. Cool is stupid.

That aside, one of the basic rules of cool is claiming to be cool makes you lame. Cool

Ron Paul seems like an ok guy, probably one of the saner Republicans. I still don't think a couple good ideas means you would be a good president, but I will say this about him. He was one of the best parts of Bruno, an otherwise disappointing movie I stopped watching shortly after Paul's scene. Which leads into this opinion.........

Borat was funny, but Bruno was just stupid and nasty!!

Koreans need to be persuaded that Kimchi is not that good. The farts are horrible and smell reeks up from the sewer

Ron Paul's deeply conservative ideas about women prevent me from taking him seriously.

Ninjas probably weren't cool or deadly... probably just dead most of the time.

Pirates were probably skinny, toothless, and looked like plastered uncle mel after drinking too much eggnog.

HAVE I DESTROYED YOUR CHILDHOOD IMAGES OF YOUR FAVORITE HALLOWEEN CHARACTERS FOR YOU BOYS? I certainly hope so.

He seems to have quite a few very socially-conservative views. However, it's the silly southern accent that puts me off most.

Yes it has and it does. But it is not pperfect.

That's nature. Of course nothing in this world, no thing, idea is comletely pure, perfect and unadulterated. That's why communism doesn't work. Pure idea is for the realm of the mind alone and of art, not for the realm of human social and political interacton... things which sully and corrupt, dilute and modify (for better and for worse) those projected pure ideals...
