Argh...I've tried searching this site and google and can't find the answer anywhere.

I may need to post some boxes from Busan this Saturday, and want to know if that's possible. It would be surface mail to the US. I will be near Gwangalli Beach, so the closer to there the better.

Cheers

Ooh thanks Xuanzang! This is good.

Now I know that 해운대 is pretty close to Gwangalli, but can anyone tell me if any of these other sites are closer, and even better, whether they are open on a Saturday? The English site seems pretty useless and my Korean's not quite good enough to wade through the proper site at this time of night! If someone who knows Busan better than I do can weigh in, that'd be great.

And oh yeah...does anyone know the number for the Busan foreigners info line (the equivalent of Seoul's 1330?). If I get that I can just call them.

Those 14 I posted are the only ones in Busan open on Saturday from 9am to 1pm. You can see "토요일 우편 창구업무 운영 우체국 현황".

051-1330 from your cell phone if you haven't set it to automatically select Busan's area code as the dialing area.

BTW, the Busanjin Post Office is very close to Dong-Eui University Subway Station.

ETA: Thanks a million for the list, Xuanzang!

If I were in Gwanganli, I would go to the Haeundae post office. It'll be the closest. CentralCali is correct about the one close to Dong-Eui subway station, but that's quite a few stops away from where you will be.

However, for whatever reason, if you go to Dong-Eui Subway Station, you would go out exit number 2 and walk straight. The post office would be on your right.

I know of a small post office in Haeundae but I don't know if it's the one that's open on Saturdays. There is a small one right beside the SFUNZ mall. Go out exit one of Haeundae, take your first right and it'll be 1/2 a block up on your left.

On the other hand, if you check out the following link, you can see that there is a post office just around the corner from the aquarium in Haeundae. Look at the middle-bottom of the map. Actually, on reflection, I believe this is the bigger one and more likely to be the one that's open. Perhaps someone can confirm! Good luck!

남부산 is not far from Namcheon Station... just across from KBS. Pretty sure that would be the closest for you.
