Is there a place where the students are good, attentive,
and want to learn? private/public, city, suburb, country?

A place where i can actually teach without having to come up with a game.
Or be asked for candy, or crosswords, or a movie?

Does actual real education exist in Korea...or is it all edutainment?

I've heard CDI is good for actual teaching. I don't mind the long hours and
the week vacation. I'm just really tired of babysitting and still somehow managing to call myself a teacher.

Personally, I think the CDI system is pretty good. I'm sure some people will disagree, but at least now we're trying to teach these kids critical thinking skills.

However, like any school, CDI has some kids who want to learn, and some kids who just want to sleep.

Does CDI actually require experience? The place looks promising but i'm sure it varies from brach to branch.

Ive always been curious.. imagine if we were forced to go to hakwons by our parents back in our days.. ahhahahha I could imagine how much worse it would be for the teachers than here.. we would be out of control seriously!!
worse things korean kids do is give a dongchim.. imagine the chit we would be doing to our Kteachers! hahahahahaha

No, just a degree. I've heard the job market is tightening up a bit though, so who knows.
