i have no shame doing this. when i am eating at a restaurant/drinking in a bar i usually have a book with me and when i see a word i don't know or more than likely cant say, i'll ask. Never had a problem. Most i am sure think it is cute or funny. They laugh but i am sure it aint mean spirited. |

Asmith, this thread made me smile
I do this when I go to visit my girlfriend's family. My Korean still needs a lot of work so I'll get sauced and try speaking Korean to everyone. Haha, I can speak clearly as long as I'm not hammered so most people are willing and nice to talk with. Have fun! |
