Gremlins - loved those things when I was a kid
Jaws - stupid looking shark...but still it was an awesome film
ET - the BMX chase scene in newly built suburbia is still awesome
Edward Scissor Hands - still the best mockery of suburbia
The Empire Strikes Back - action start to finish
Indiana Jones 1 and 3 - ummm....just plain classic
The entire Batman series from the 60's...it's still entertaining
Bruce Lee - Enter the Dragon
James Bond - Octopussy
Dawn of the Dead |

When I was very young, I absolutely adored Jurassic Park. It was the only VHS I ever bought, one of the few films I ever bought in any format.
I still love it, too. |

I looooved the movie Willow as a kid. I actually have it now and I watch it from time to time. I also have the Dark Crystal-very dark for a kids' movie. I think there was some controversy over it at the time. The special effects are a little crude compared to today's standard but still impressive considering it's all puppet action.
I second Jurassic Park. The theater was so packed when I went to see it that my brother and I had to sit by ourselves in the very front row. I still remember looking up at the screen as the Tyrannosaurus appeared for the first time, walking right through the electric fence and roaring. Awesome.
I also vote for:
Labyrinth (still great)
Rollerbabies
Lady in White
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Burglar
Jumping Jack Flash
Ladyhawke
Sneakers
I guess some of those aren't really meant for kids but I watched them as a kid and loved them. |

| I remember I taped "Ski School" late one night on cable. It was one of those cheesy 80s comedies with lots of T&A. I must have watched (parts of) it a million times. |
