| Humorless, preposterous, and soaked in blood, "Ninja Assassin" turns out to be thinly-plotted schlock from a team of pedigree filmmakers who should have known better |

Unfortunately for "world star" Rain, what was to be his breakout film falls way short of what "Enter the Dragon" was for Bruce Lee. No doubt that was what the Wachowski Brothers were aiming to do by gambling on a relative unknown in the Western world.

what Enter the dragon did for Bruce lee???? ummm they were not trying to sell Rain off as a martial arts star were they???
because if that is the case, then they really are living in the MATRIX and need to come back to reality!

| What a joke. As a huge fan of Bruce Lee, I'm offended by this poop-stained article. |

Bruce Lee? i doubt the thought crossed their minds. there's no comparison to be drawn.
IMDB disagrees.

but, could it just be a bunch of koreans scoring it a 10? I say this because Park ji sung is man of the match every week on the skysports website, simply because koreans bombard the voting poll. |

I'll believe the movie is bad AFTER I see it.
I have a low, low threshold when it comes to movies. If they're good enough for what they are, they're good enough for me. This attitude allowed me to shamelessly enjoy such gems as 'Commando'. ('I let him go' - best movie line ever. Ever.)
I don't know. Maybe it'll be a stinker, but perhaps it'll be entertaining. I remember when I heard that Bon Jovi was going to star in a film, and I rushed out to rent the DVD (Moonlight and Valentino) so I could have a good laugh. It was far from the best movie I ever saw, but it certainly wasn't the worst. He didn't really embarrass himself.
If Rain is at least as good as the Governator and there's some good action, I'll be happy. The 'Cyborg' movie was watchable. |

| I doubt it'll be as horrible as G.I.Joe was. |

The movie is called Ninja Assassin, of course it's going to be bad. What's Rain's next movie? Gangster Hitman? Half-Elf-Fighter-Thief-Magic-User Dragon-Slayer?
He belongs in Romance movies/Mystery-Suspense, not action ones. Not a good enough actor for High Dramas, but heartthrob and charismatic enough for those kinds of movies. But his persona and talents don't seem to match the action movie genre. |

| Whatevs. I'm only watching it for Naomi Harris and Rain's potential make-out session. |

Well IMBD ranked Lord of the Rings over the Godfather at one point (don't know if it still does). |
