Out of curiosity I decided to switch to the English menu function on the Dominos website. Upon completion of the order I was only provided one option, to pay by credit card. This also required several "activeX" installments.
Under the same account/username, I switched back to Korean, made the same order and was provided with cash/bankcard/credit card options.
Can anyone think of any reason they wouldn't allow a non-Korean speaker/reader to pay in cash other than some sort of trust issue? Help me out here. |

They also require non-Korean readers/speakers to prepay with a credit card through a third-party, as opposed to the Korean option, which is swiping it on the delivery guy's mobile device. |

Reminds me of the KB ATM.
After hours, if you are using the "English" option, it doesn't allow you to deposit the 100,000 won checks. Yet if you switch to "Korean", there's no problem. |

Seoulsucker- They don't trust foreigners to pay for the bloody pizzas. We are thieves - it's a scientific fact in Korea.
Collect yourself, pay with a bloody credit card or get off your bum and order the pizzas in person. |

The funniest part about it is that, as an E2 foreigner, even with my co-teacher going around to all the banks vouching for me and arguing with the tellers, I can't get anyone to give me a credit card, unless I make a deposit in the amount of the credit limit that can't be touched for a year.
It's a bloody pizza. Good to know if I switch to Korean, I can pay in cash though. Thanks for the tip.
PS -- Given that Domino's is a foreign company, I'm sure they'd be interested to hear about this little "glitch" with their Korean branches.... |

You guys can order with foreign credit cards. It doesn't matter. Pay with foreign debit or credit cards. It doesn't matter. |

Considering the information that he's provided, wouldn't it be safe to guess that he can order off the Korean website? And if that's the case, why would he have to call? The guy has been around for awhile, so I'm pretty sure he's just bringing it to our attention. |

I prefer paying with my card. You open the door, get the pizzas, and the guy leaves. You don't gotta stand there waiting for the delivery guy to figure out the card machine. You don't have to wait for the guy to count his change to give to you.
I got couple cats, and its butt freaking cold outside. I dont' like to keep my front door open. In the summer you are just inviting a mosquitos to come right in. |

Gmarket used to not show the discount option on the foreign site. I don't know if it shows it for all now or not. Some people would give a discount if you pushed a button (not sure why it wasn't included) but ordering from the english site hid that button. |

I'm pretty sure that's still the case. |
