Hi,

According to a RAM sale website, this is the correct RAM for my MacBook 13.3-inch Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83GHz : PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMMs.

I found this on gmarket:

http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=115869538

It appears to be correct, other than the "SODIMMS"...It is a 1 gig stick, which is what I'm looking for.

I realize that the SODIMMS refers to the # of pins on the stick.

Can anyone confirm that this is what i need? I just want to make sure I'm getting the right item.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think that's it.

Those are desktop RAM 240pin modules. Known as SDRAM

You need SODIMM's for a laptop. 200pin.

Why not go to the Apple website and learn up on what you need. I'm sure there's info there on upgrading the RAM in Macbooks.

It's not right. Just pull down the Apple menu and click "About this Mac"

Next to "Memory" it will tell you the RAM chip. (Probably DIMM 1067 Mhz DDR3).

If you want more info on it, click "more info" and then "memory".

Thanks for the replies. I followed your instructions, crescent. This is what I got:

Size: 1 GB
Type: DDR2 SDRAM
Speed: 667 MHz

It's an older (2006) macbook 1.83 GHz Intel core duo. 1 slot has 1 gig stick, the other a 512mb stick, which i want to swap out for another 1 gig.

and according to this website:

http://www.memoryamerica.com/apple-mac-memory-laptop-macbook-memory-macbook-13-3-inch-intel-core-2-duo-1-83ghz--ma699ll-a--5.html

i need this memory: PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM SODIMMs.

On the apple website, it says i need the same: 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300); supports up to 2GB

Problem is, i can't seem to find this memory on gmarket.

The gmarket link i posted earlier was the closest I could find.

If this is not available on gmarket...anyone know where I can find that kind of RAM? As you can tell, i'm not much use with computers, but think i can switch out the RAM by myself....with the help of some online tutorials!

Thanks for your trouble!
