|
|
Had an interview yesterday. Actually, two, but one was for a part-timer.
Anyway...
Was asked if I was married. I'm not. Then I was asked if they could ask ma a rude question (didn't they already?): May I ask your age? Then I was asked why I wasn't married. All I said was "Good question" and looked at them (I was taught to be frank at interviews and not to run on, although I did at one point because what do I have to lose?).
Please give me you KOREAN interview experiences. I have a few.... |

That never came up during the interview. When I went to sign the contract though, sometimes the recruiter would ask about it. Since I lived in Japan, it's kind understandable to them ("Oh, of course, you wouldn't want to marry one of those Japanese women. I see now.) |

My former boss at my current school asked if I was married. After I'd signed the contract, she tried to set me up on a date with a coworker! I refused, because I had a girlfriend (who is now my wife). My boss was disappointed, and told me it was OK, because I wasn't married yet!

I had a K boss who was proud to show off the W2,000,000+ BC card-uh invoice for a night of debauchery with the local school inspector; and whose wife had 'wandering hands' while being very frank about his 'lack of stamina'. |

an interview in the past:
interviewer: what religion are you?
me: i'm not comfortable sharing that at an interview. is it necessary?
interviewer: no it isn't. so...what religion are you? |

Hualien is a good town. There's a neat pub there where I scoffed down some Taiwan Pijou back in the day. Had my bike stolen there a boatload of times as well. |

| In my experiences, a Korean interview usually started with, "Can you start tomorrow morning 8am?" |
