Some guy thought the American thread was silly and pompously self-congratulatory. I wanted in on some of that. Therefore:
1. How a small amount of change can be a surprisingly large amount of money.
2. We get to spell things two different ways and they're both right.
3. We have people-eating coyotes which is scary but cool.
4. Georges St. Pierre. |

I know! What the hell is that about? Do you know how to play lacrosse? I sure don't.
Oh, and our national animal is the industrious rodent, the beaver. Because we used to slaughter and skin them by the thousands- now the ones with the nice fur are extinct. |

We've still got nicely furred beavers in my neck of the Canadian wilderness. Did you know that beavers effect their environment more than any other animal besides humans?
I miss the vibrant and diverse music scene and the great variety of foods available in Halifax. |

As an American there are many things I admire about Canada; your healthcare, your country got involved in World War 2 in 1939 two years before mine (US), Canada also didnt go to Vietnam or the second Iraq war.
Less Political things I admire are; Western Canada ski resorts (awesome), the kindness of most Canadians I have meet in Canada, the Canadian Rockies, the amazing wilderness areas and wildlife. |

I lived right by the Mid-East Food Center. I lived off their samosas, cans of grape leaves, chick pea salads and kebbes.
I went to school (in Yarmouth) with Tim d'Eon (guitar player) and Paul Murphy (singer) of Wintersleep. They opened for Paul McCartney last summer. It's good to see them going places. |

Tim Hortons breakfast sandwiches.
Toronto and everything that it includes, especially all the amazing food.
Amazingly beautiful rural areas and small towns.
Roads and highways perfect for roadtripping.
More-than-average personal freedom. |
