SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. A 22-year-old Arizona man who teaches English overseas has been missing since he attended a concert in Germany last weekend.

Devon Hollahan was last seen at around 3 a.m. Nov. 21 after a concert in Frankfurt, Germany.

He was traveling back to a hostel with a friend, who stopped to ask for directions. When the friend turned back around, Hollahan was gone.....

I suspect what's happened is: he got into a taxi and said Frankfurt (am Mainz) however the taxi driver thought Frankfurt (am Oder) on the Polish border. He's been trying to hitch-hike back to Frankfurt (am Mainz) but continues to be taken to Frankfurt (am Oder).

The article/interview with his friend noted that he has a long history of just 'disappearing' when he's had a few drinks and feels like leaving the party. He just wanders off on his own without a word to anyone. Could be that he just took off and got himself killed somehow. Maybe someone ran him over and threw the body in a river to hide the evidence?
