Is it possible to send money home on a Saturday, since all Korean banks are closed?

If you have an account with KEB, you can set up atm or internet remittance. After that, you can transfer money any time.

as long as you have it set up with the bank to transfer through an atm, it will work. although, because its not a business day, the money probably won't show up in your home account until Monday.

How do you arrange that? On the ATM machines I see, it only has domestic banks. When I went to ask my bank about it with my co-teacher, they told him it couldn't be done.

What is the EXACT Korean title or expression to give them?

what bank do you have? i just told them i wanted to set up an ATM international transfer. they tried to get me to do online banking, but don't fall into that because it's just a huge pain in the ass. you'll need your passport along with your routing and account numbers from home, as well as an address for the bank. they were able to get mine done in about 30 minutes.

I've seen the option for international transfer on KB bank machines. I think Woori also has this option. You have to get the bank to set it up first before you can use it though. I've never used it though because I have online banking with KEB.

KEB bank has an excellent online banking service which allows you to send money internationally. It is quick and easy. I do it often.
