Anyone in Korea recently get their CRC / CBC done in Canada and do it from Korea?
I've researched and found that I can get my fingerprints done here in Seoul and then send them to the RCMP in Canada.
The RCMP website says it could take months to get the CRC done, but then it goes on to say it could also take a little more than a week.
I'm from Ontario, so not sure if that matters when dealing with this matter.
I know if I go home it will only take 1 week because I've done it before and called and confirmed that again last week. However, I don't want to fly back to Canada just to get my CRC done.
Anyone have any advice or suggestions for which agencies to use or how easy this process is?
Thanks |

Winnipeg Police Services. Any Canadian, no fingerprints and you can do it from Korea. Print the forms from the website, photocopy 2 pieces of ID and express mail it with a CC number. Get it forwarded from the WPS to a friend in Canada and then have them express mail it to Korea. About 10-15 days from application to your hand. |

I just faxed a copy of my passport and a letter to the Burnaby B.C. RCMP giving permission for sister to pick it up. She then mailed it to me. |

Wad,
How long did the process take?
Would they also mail it to someone instead of requiring someone to pick it up? |

You should find your local police's phone number and give them a call. It won't cost you more than a couple thousand won in long distance fees. |

Depends where you live in Ontario,
If you're rural the local office might give you some hassle, I had to get my dad to go in, and mail back and forth quite a few documents.
I also have a friend who's a cop in Peel region. He says that they are so busy they do CBC fairly quickly and without hassle because there are other more important things to do. |
