"It is a beautiful country" - this one always gets me. If you call endless new motorways plonked on every pretty rural area, every river and stream manicured and cemented into a lifeless concrete trench, every wooded mountain devoid of wildlife because its been hunted out or poisoned with DDT, every pretty viewpoint crowded with a new snackstand, "beautiful", then you need to visit some other countries to get perspective.
The most picturesque spot I found in korea was a rocky coast with a lighthouse, on a small island about 80km offshore of Gunsan. However, they were wrecking it by building houses all over it, and making a pointless "ring road' around the island.. it was tragic to see the bulldozers going to work.

When I read this in the newspaper, I was thinking, well, I hope they pay you well for writing this information and if I was paid well to do his job, I could have written something like that too.

If I had the capital, I'd open a PC bang and hogwon beside every almost finished appartment block springing up in this country, an absolute cert for future millionaire-hood.

Without a Korean spouse, investing here would be very difficult.
