Is the the Iphone in Korea's OS in English or Korean?
So far no store has been able to confirm either way.
For those of you who have/get one; any comments?
I am between the Sony Ericson, Haptic and the Iphone right now.
Any advice? |

It has all the languages built in already. You are good to go. |

Correct, just like OSX you can select the input and display languages. I just set my US iPhone to Korean to confirm this. To change from Korean to English do this:
Click the "Settings"/"설정" button -> Click "General"/"일반" -> Click "International"/"다국어" (in the 4th group) -> Click "Language"/"언어" -> Select "English" -> Click "Done"/"완료" (bright blue button at top right). The phone will go black and when it comes back it will be in English.
You might want to set the "Region Format" to "United States." To do that, follow the same steps as above (now the menu items should be in English), but after you select "International" you will click "Region Format" instead of "Language." In that menu, you can select "United States."
To add a keyboard (English or Korean), follow the steps above but select "Keyboards" after you select "International." From that menu, just click the slider buttons to enable/disable whichever keyboards you want. When you are using the keyboard to type, you can switch between English/Korean keyboards by clicking the globe icon near the lower-left corner of the keyboard. |

I can confirm. The iPhone (and iPod touch) both work great in English and Korean. The solution for adding the Korean keyboard is excellent as well. Just press the globe icon on the keyboard and it switches between English and Korean keyboards. I haven't seen a more elegant device for both English and Korean input. |

All iPhones run the same OS (different versions here and there of course). All have the same languages installed. In fact, I just got my iPhone last night (here in Korea) and it was already set to English. It's the Koreans who will have to wade through the menus to switch it over to Korean. |

iPhones are multilingual at the click of a button because Mac OS is multilingual at the click of a button. There's none of this 'you need to reinstall with the orginal disk' BS that you have with Windows.
I miss my Mac sometimes. |

Because I don't have a spare million lying around. Except maybe as a deposit for an iPhone, if need be. |

One thing that annoys me about my ipod touch is that it gets confused when you have the language set to English but the region set to Korea. Mine has issues with the itunes store and keeping the date and time correct. |
