I don't really do favorites...i know it's silly. Especially in this case...sometimes whatever is playing is my favorite.
But, I've always had a special place for 'don't think twice'...so, i'll say that is mine.
I guess you have to pick the song that pops into your head first, and stick with it.

PREFACE- I am not a Bob Dylan fan. He is an amazing songwriter, but a TERRIBLE singer.
That being said, I do have ONE Dylan song on my iPod.
The Hurricane |

I am quite possibly the biggest Dylan fan in the country presently. Along with that, my favorite song has changed over the years probably at LEAST 20 times, no lie.
That being said, if I had to choose 1 Dylan song to listen to for the rest of my life, it would without a doubt be "Like a Rolling Stone." |

Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands. Tangled up in blue is another fave. I find myself singing The Ballad of Franke Lee and Judas Priest a lot. Four strong winds is amazing. I dunno, I don't think a REAL Bob Dylan fan could have one favorite. Tombstone Blues...If You See Her...Ballad of a Thin Man...Subterranean Homesick Blues...Like a Rolling Stone.... |

Hard to pick a favorite, but I've always had a soft spot for Isis. Oh, and Love Minus Zero/No Limit.
Has anybody heard his Christmas album yet? There's a great video here -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVs6X9yIM_k
I wasn't quite sure what to do with the first time I watched, but it's quickly becoming an all-time favorite... |

My favorite Bob Dylan song changes as I change. Currently, this is my favorite Dylan song. |

I've watched it many times now, and I still laugh every time he takes the cigar out of his mouth and sings "Who laughs this way? Ho, ho, ho." It's the most gangsta thing I've ever seen. |

All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix. I can't listen to Bob Dylan's voice for more than 30 seconds without wanting to kick the speakers in. |

Somebody already took 'Love Minus Zero/No Limit' so I'll go with 'Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues': "When you're lost in the rain in Juarez and it's Eastertime, too..." Purely my own opinion, but there is no one better to listen to when you're feeling down and out. |

I'll trade you Live Minus Zero/No Limit for Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues. I forgot about it. It's a good 'un -- "They got some huuungry women there and they'll really make a mess outta yooouuu."
It IS a bit quixotic to try and name your favorite Dylan song. There's always that other one...
How 'bout best Dylan cover? I've been grooving on Richie Havens' take on Tombstone Blues off the I'm Not There soundtrack lately. |
