Masan is terrible....it is a port city by every definition. Congested, dirty, old and provincial. It is probably the top 5 worst cities I have ever been to in Korea and it isn't going to change soon as the city council is bankrupt. What makes it worse is Changwon is right next door so the comparison is even more exaggerated |
This x1000
As somebody who is currently living in Masan, I could not agree more with this statement. I cannot stand Masan. Meanwhile, I love Changwon and spend almost as much free time there as I do in Masan. |

You didn't happen to do the Santa Bike Parade in Changwon yesterday, did you? One of the best cycling events I've done.
Changwon is really set up well for cycling. They've done a lot in the past year to advocate cycling and I think they've done a great job. |
I didn't but only because I didn't register. Will do it next year perhaps....
I would do 200km a week riding around on my bike weather permitting. 25K a day during the week and 50-100km on saturday on sunday |

What about Masan as compared to Changwon? Which is better? |
I don't like how spread out Changwon is and how it seemed like it took forever to go somewhere. |
Changwon's not spread out compared to cities back home. I can drive my car or ride my motorbike from one side of Changwon to the other in 20 to 25 minutes and that's taking it easy. And no, I'm not talking width wise.
Where I'm from back home it takes hours to drive from one side of the city to the other. And the traffic is worse here in Korea. |
Um, okay, but I'm comparing Masan and Changwon. |
Yes but you make Changwon sound as if it is huge when it is not. I was just giving some perspective. |
?? Whatever man. The guy asked about Masan and Changwon. I gave a direct comparison between the two. And, between the two, Changwon is verrry spread out. It goes on forever, over the mountains and everything.
Read the context of the post. Everything was quoted. |

Wow. Sounds good. Where do you ride? Make it out of the city much? Ever go out towards Miryong/Haman, etc? |

Aren't Masan, Jinhae and Changwon the same place now? Its exactly what I do in my classes - force the smart kid to take the ugly dumb one under his wing |
