THE POLICY CHANGES TOMORROW |
Are KT still insisting that we have 2 years on our visa though?
I would assume that if we can get credit, we should be able to find insurance if KT's company won't, but once again fighting to spend money doesn't seem like a good way to use my time.
I have heard some F4's have received their iPhones with less than 1 year on their visa. Has anyone on an f2 done so?
After calling SK today and being told as an F2 I can't have a plan, KT is looking less evil than before. |
I don't know about that actually. My visa was renewed around October, and F4 visas are now valid for 3 years. Thats a good question though. I guess we won't know until someone trys it out again after tomorrow. |

I don't know why some of you are paying monthly for the phone itself. My phone was only 130,000 total. No cost of the phone is part of the monthly plan. |

Because before the only way you could get it was to either pay the full price of the phone up front (900,000 won for 32 3gs) or to pay monthly. Your friend signed up for your phones for you guys right? Maybe you didn't completely understand the conditions? It's very unlikely that your iphone cost only 130,000 won up front. Your probably paying montlhly for teh phone and aren't aware of it? |

@aphase
Do you have a contact number of someone who can verify all this?
I know if I go into the Show store and tell them your story, they are going to give me the "whatever you are talking out of your ass" nod and sidestep the issue.
I don't know if its even worth it for me to fight them on it. When the next gen Iphone comes out, I'm fairly certain I'm going to upgrade to it, so I'll have to eat the entire cost of the Iphone anyways. |

Proves my original guess that in the end the price between I-medium and the regular contract plan will cost around the same in the end. Despite having to pay more for the Iphone on the regular plan. |

It woudl be nice if that were the case. The problem is, people at Show or KT aren't all on the same page. You would think the main office would just fax a memo, or text all the store managers on what the policy is. |

Thanks for the link, that's a good guy. His description of the "Show-king" standard plan is basically the same story I got from Frisbee in Myeongdong, but I was offered a smaller discount since I am changing form SK to KT.
Any news on this insurance policy changing the hopes for E2 visa holders? |

Ok everyone. I can confirm that the policy DID indeed change because i went to the 8th floor of Ipark at yongsan station, and the phone shop in front of the Show Plaza sold me one with the same deal as korean citizens get, same subsidies and same phone plans.(I'm on an F4 visa btw). For you guys asking for numbers, I talked to one of the people yesterday at the Show plaza customer service center right across from the shop I'm talking about. I don't have the exact phone numbers because I went there in person.
Before, when they tried entering my ID number it came back saying it was impossible, but today, it doesn't return the error and I got signed up on the i-medium plan, and have my iphone charging as i type this. |

How much do you have to shell out for an iPhone/iPhone GS in Korea? 800,000 W, then the subscription fee? |
