I've been in a uni here for two years and have about five years total experience. My uni is cleaning house and it seems pretty difficult to get into another uni so far. I'm on vacation now but will be returning to Korea to finish my contract in Feb. In March I will be jobby jobless.

So, what do you think my chances are of getting into a last minute uni position in Feb? And, failing that, are some of the adult hagwons still solvent? I did a year in English Channel when I first started and I could probably handle another while the economy settles.

I worked at the Busan branch and while I was there more experienced teachers were able to get block shifts in their contracts. It sucks to walk away from university holidays but an adult hagwon with a block shift schedule wouldn't be terrible.

And, if even that fails I'll probably jump ship and head to another country or go home to do an online MA and sling burgers for a year.

Any thoughts..

It's worth a shot.... sometimes people fill in last minute jobs that others bailed on. Works best if you know someone.
