| Anyone got any idea where I could buy haggis in Korea? I would love to have a Burns supper on the 25th. Anyone know of any supermarkets/butchers where I could buy one? |

Sorry I don't know where you could get haggis in South Korea. However, maybe Korean Sundae would be an acceptable alternative? |

Given Koreans' intense fear of Mad Cow Disease, I strongly doubt it's possible to import haggis into Korea. And I also strongly doubt there's any being made in Korea. You'll probably have to buy the ingredients and make it yourself--good luck with that.
Have you tried soondae aka "Korean haggis"?  |

There are a couple of big Scottish events in Seoul during the year (Burns night and St. Andrews Day) and they, I believe, serve haggis at both those. So either it's imported or made in Korea. Has anyone been to one of those events and know where they get it? I have heard that there is a Scottish butcher in Seoul. Does anyone know where this is?
I have heard of this Korean equivalent. It didn't really sound much like haggis to me. It sounds more akin to black pudding. |

| Haggis is made from sheeps intestines isn't it? Anyway I suggest you try Gavin's sausages. He might be the Scottish butcher you're talking about. You're right, sondae is more like a softer black pudding |

If there is a Burn's supper going on please let me know. I went to one in 1998 at the Hilton in Kyungju, had a great time.
There are only a few occassions where it is acceptable to wear a kilt and this is one of them.
