Have you tried a key shop? Usually called 열쇠, they are in most neighborhoods. They usually cut keys for homes and vehicles etc., but might be able to help you with a suitcase key.

Alternatively, if you can speak Korean or have a Korean friend you might try calling a locksmith. They usually affix a sticker around the lock on your door with a phone number. You could call them and ask if they can help you out.

Good luck. Let us know how you make out.

You might need to purchase one of those straps instead. Not sure how they can make a key if your key has broken.

Just been told at Home Plus (where I bought the case six months ago) that I can take it in and their after service will find me new keys. This takes 3 weeks though and I fly in 2! Looks like the straps I guess. Thanks

Is it a complicated-looking key or just a standard kind of suitcase key? You might be able liberate some extras from a display model...
